Housing bantams
Housing bantams is a very simple thing to do, here is instructions on how I would house four bantams at a low cost: get a chicken coop [preferably with a connected run], I like to use a www.inthemarket.ie pentland 4-6 bird coop (230 euro) for extra protection in chicken coops we put chicken wire on the floor the whole way around the run but that is optional ( chicken wire costs around 40 euro for a role) and finally make sure they are in a good flat area with a bit of shade too!

Feeding
We feed our adult Sebrights high quality layers pellets and roller oats and we also let them forage in a bigger pen often and we feed our baby chicks chick crumb but it is very important that for the first few days you grind their food into smaller bits so they do not choke. Food for 5 chicks/adults, chicks (an average of 1 euro a week for 15 weeks), adults (about 2 euro a week for the rest of their lives).

Training
One of the most important things for your chickens is that you train them to go into the coop at night and the simple way to do that is to put them in to their coop every night and let them out every morning for five days and then they should be able to do it all by themselves! Another good thing to do is to put fake eggs in the nesting boxes to teach the hens where to lay their eggs!
